Introduction to Geometry Workshop (Part I)

**Description:**This workshop is designed for students in 6th grade and up. Introduction to Geometry by Richard Rusczyk from Art of Problem Solving is used as the text book. The first 10 chapters are covered during the 17-week workshop:

2. Angles

3. Congruent Triangles

4. Perimeter and Area

5. Similar Triangles

6. Right Triangles

7. Special Parts of a Triangle

8. Quadrilaterals

9. Polygons

10. Geometric Inequalities

Note: There are 19 chapters in the book. The rest 9 chapters will be covered in Introduction to Geometry

Workshop (Part II).

She regrets that she didn't have opportunities to learn hard math when she was in middle school.

**Prerequisites and Requirements**

- Students need to submit scanned homework by Saturday at noon one day before each workshop.

All of the review problems and non starred challenge problems will be assigned as homework.

Students and parents need to understand the effort involved for the workshop and need to be

willing to make the effort.

**Date and Time:**9am - 11am, Sundays, 1/14/2018 - 5/13/2018, no lesson on 3/11 for Spring break.

**Fees, Discounts and Refund Policies**

• A discount of $40 will be applied to the second child from the same family.

Half refund: if you withdraw your student within a week before the workshop.

No refund: Once workshop is started.
